Founded by Alex Roessner in 2023, RRI is an American 501(c)(3) running locally-led conservation in Sumatra, Madagascar, the Chocó, Patagonia, Rwanda, and across a network of humpback whale hotspots. The model insists on local ownership: former loggers as rangers, smallholder farmers as buffer-zone stewards, marine biologists running their own re-identification pipelines.
